Advanced Napping:
The Power of Yoga Nidra
Saturday, May 25th, 6:30-8pm
Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep, is one of the most powerful tools available for soothing stress, restoring vitality, boosting cognition, supporting wellness, and harnessing resolve. This practice feels like a long, guided relaxation, but by preparing for this intentional rest with mindful movement and balancing breathwork, we create the conditions for a truly exceptional experience. Join Jamie to learn more about how we establish a witness perspective in our practice, and how that awareness is enlivened and guided through the layers of our bodies and the states of consciousness.
For the best experience, wear comfortable attire, plan for about 10 minutes of light movement, avoid caffeine and heavy meals before the practice, and bring a light eye-covering (not a heavy eye pillow). Students will rest reclined for about 30-40 minutes, so if you have a special pillow, blanket, or socks for comfort, feel free to bring them!
